Ｒ１６拡幅工事中

青い空からニョッキリ延びてきてるのは滑走路でもなく、バンジージャンプ台でもありません。国道１６号(福生市）武蔵野橋の拡幅に伴い新しい橋の工事中の写真です。右側は現在の武蔵野橋です。角度が随分今の武蔵野橋と違うようで、今の武蔵野橋は八王子方面に向かい既に下っていますが、新しい橋はまだそのまま伸びてます。この先で下るのでしたらかなりの急坂になるのではと思ってしまいます。
ここで少し国道１６号線の拡幅工事について抜粋した内容をご紹介します。
国道１６号（Ｒ１６）八王子～瑞穂拡幅事業は八王子左入町から瑞穂町までの１４．６ｋｍの区間で、現在２車線を４車線(一部６車線）に拡幅整備し渋滞解消を目的とした事業であり、昭和４７年から行っています。残る２車線区間は当社の前の昭島市松原地区（１．７ｋｍ）の内１．５ｋｍでしたが、いつも混んでる小荷田交差点が整備され、残るは多摩工業高校～武蔵野橋の間の約１．２ｋｍのみとなりました。
用地取得も１次、２次、と進み最後の３次もあと少しのようです。
２次工事の武蔵野橋の拡幅工事の写真です。当社の前は４８ｍの幅の道路（６車線）になるそうですが、今は引越しされた家屋が順次取り壊され見晴らしが良くなってきてます・・・・寂しいですが
